Solaris, Linux, CA UIM, CDM, Apache, bash, shell scripting, puppet, Autosys, EMC, NFS, Kerberos, administration, UNIX engineering, patching, alert probes, monitoring, installing 

 

 Unix admin/Engineer with the CA Unified Infrastructure Manger ( UIM) experience. Below is the full description, Please send resume after reading all the skills/technologies.

Job Description:

* Solaris / Linux administration experience ( Min. 3-5 years minimum)

* Apply / remove security patches on Solaris 10 and 11

* Apply / remove patches on Linux (Red Hat)

* knowledge of Solaris Ops Center a plus

* Thoroughly understand the boot process

* Manage Solaris Alternate Boot Environments (ABE's)

* CA Unified Infrastructure Manager experience ( Min 3-4 years)

* Knowledge of different probes (Ex. CDM, apache, others

* Knowledge of how to adjust alerting thresholds…)

* Bash shell scripting

* automate routine tasks

* write custom scripts to monitor processes and tie in to CA UIM.

* puppet scripting to manage server configuration

* Good documentation skills

* Good communication skills

* An ability to react quickly to resolve technical issues

* Solid understanding of Clustering (Veritas Cluster Server)

* Knowledge of CA Workload Automation Autosys Edition (aka Autosys) a plus

* Work with EMC storage

* manage I/O multipathing

* manage snapshot technology

* Understand Active Directory integration with UNIX/Linux ( Centrify)

* Understand NFS

* autofs

* Kerberos authentication
