Job Title : Network Engineer
Location : Middletown, CT
Job Type : Contract (Remote until Covid19 ends)

Job Description :
Resource responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network devices, servers, virtualization and cloud.
Install and upgrade NC components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes, having strong domain understanding.
Responsible for the WAN (Wide Area Network) and LAN (Local Area Networks) administration.
Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing the impact of issues.
Provide documentation and technical specifications to project members for planning and implementing new or upgrades of NC and Azure infrastructure.
Perform or ensure regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures where applicable.
Lead advanced support efforts, making sure all applications issues are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance requirements for NC and Azure platforms.
Working knowledge of virtualization platforms (opensource and VMWare).
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
Working experience with NC, Azure and other cloud platforms.
Experience with scripting and automation tools.
Expertise in Network Domain, Network (L2/3/4) Customer & Infrastructure, SDN/NFV, Core Java.
