Job Description

 

 M to F 8 am to 5pm local hours support and oncall during afterhours and weekend/holidays

Role Description:

Implementing and managing functional network infrastructure with predominant exposure on Meraki Cloud. Resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated. Mentoring team members and addressing user requests.

 

The key responsibilities of the position include:

Establishing networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards

Deploy Meraki cloud to the customer network by replacing the traditional network design

Experience in integrating the existing routing during the Meraki deployment

Strong experience and knowledge in building IPSEC tunnels to and from Meraki to other OEM firewalls/routers

Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with other departments on network optimization

Undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources

Securing network system by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access

Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information and managing projects

Upgrading data network equipment to latest stable firmware releases

Capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within Datacenters

Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies

Good troubleshooting skills and identify / locate the area of problem

5+ years of experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS, Pfr, QOS) in a large enterprise environment

Cloud Proxy Experience (Websense, Zscalar) - perform health checks, pull reports, account maintenance and provisioning, troubleshoot issues, able to manage proxy, design /identify / implement new rules or changes etc

Hands on Experience in TCP/IP stack, Layer2, Layer 3 and Multicast

Expertise in understanding different network topologies and configurations

Demonstrates a specialist understanding of Network Security concepts

 

Knowledge:

Datacenter network familiarization and management experience

Strong experience on Cisco Meraki cloud

Exposure in deploying high availability network architecture

Experience with dynamic routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, etc

Experience with various firewall technologies like Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Juniper, Fortinet

Knowledge on Vulnerability assessment & Intrusion Detection scans

Experience with network management utilities
