Description:

Responsible for the installation, layout, and maintenance of all network components in a data center (also called a network lab). Plan, design, analyze, and provide technical support for data communications network or group of networks. Conduct research and evaluation of network technology and advise on purchases of network equipment.

Requirements:
• From 3 to 5 years of experience in managing logical and physical networking, Layer 1/2/3.
• Design, document the equipment layout, and prepare a schedule of installation of computer, network, telecom, and video equipment in a designated data center or network laboratory.
• Install equipment cabinets/racks, AC and DC power connections, Ethernet, fiber & video cabling, and racking and stacking of equipment.
• Test the configuration of software and hardware installed.
• Perform troubleshooting of equipment and system failures and identify and troubleshoot outages and bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of the lab network.
• Inspect equipment and infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/issues.
• Evaluate network and equipment performance and find ways of improvement.
• Provide ongoing support, using standard customer-defined policies and procedures, and test and maintain network and hardware equipment.

Minimum Technical Skills:
• Cisco software configuration and management (CCNA/CCNP)
• F5 Firewall and Load balancer configuration and management
• Linux/CentOS/Ubuntu - Administration, configuration, and familiarity.

Preferred Additional Skills:
• Real-time Operating System experience will be plus
• HPE DL and BL Series hardware experience
• Brocade SAN Storage
• Red Hat Ansible, OpenStack, and Openshift experience
