JOB DETAIL

Title: Security Engineer

Duration: Longterm

Location: Chicago, IL

Description:

• Assists in complex architecture projects requiring specialized knowledge of identity and directory technologies, services and applications (e.g., forest consolidation and identity federation)

• Analyzes business processes/technologies and works with customers to determine and document business requirements and translates them into clear and concise technical specifications

• Understands a high-availability, high-performance environment and performs work to those standards

• Works with project management to achieve on time project implementation

• Accountable for detailed designs based on the committed architecture and standards

• Leads and coordinates the engineering phases of Windows solutions delivery including planning, design, build, testing, ordering and transition to production support

• Must have excellent written/presentation skills to document standards, policies, and designs

• Experience with cloud and cloud architectures (Azure/AWS and working components.

• Experience with security frameworks, architectures and solution (app security, network security, data security, identity and access).

• Ability to support automation initiatives. Scripting and Coding a plus.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise directory services technologies in large enterprise, multi-datacenter environments exceeding 150K users.

• 8+ experience with group policy, especially security policies

• 8+ years leading directory services based initiatives for complex, global organizations.

• Expert level knowledge of Active Directory Sites and Services, Forest and Domain Trusts and Federation technologies

• Expert level knowledge of DNS, DHCP and WINS

• Expert level knowledge of protocols such as: Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP and Secure LDAP

• Expert level knowledge of Azure Active Directory (AAD), MFA and SSO Apps, federation

TASKS:

• Working with application developers and business units to integrate authorization and authentication requests from a variety of sources (LDAP or Kerberos) into enterprise directory services.

• Work with the appropriate Operations teams developing process for day to day tasks and be available to assist when issues are escalated.

• Create appropriate process documentation to ensure that routine tasks are done in a consistent and predictable manner.

• Assist with the development of standards surrounding the enterprise directories and work to migrating them towards those new standards.
