Job Title: Sr. Android Developer
Client: Safeway
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Duration: 1 year contract
Interview: Video
Must-haves:
· Excellent communication skills (be able to clear explanation)
· 5+ years Android knowledge
· Work independently
· Must have Kotlin experience
Qualifications:
· 4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience
· 8+ years overall programming experience
· 5+ years of acting as a designer for major systems and their subsystems
· Extensive experience consuming SOAP/REST web services.
· Knowledge of HTML, CSS & JavaScript. Experience with HTML5 & CSS3
· Experience with mobile JavaScript frameworks like jQuery mobile
· Excellent understanding of usability aspects of mobile applications
· Strong hands-on experience building consumer facing mobile solutions for Android
· Sound understanding of architectural pattern like MVVM and MVC
· Hands on experience with REST API services
· Strong hands-on experience building consumer facing mobile solutions for Android
· Hands on experience with Kotlin and Java.
· Deep knowledge of scalability, security and maintainability of high-volume mobile applications
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills
· Ability to communicate and drive highly complex technology solutions to broad audiences within and outside of IT through diagrams, written and verbal presentations and communication
· Ability to define solutions from very high-level business ideas
· Ability to describe non-functional requirements
Ability to work independently
