Technical Skills:

• Responsible for maintaining a high-level of availability,reliability, and security for the Not-For-Profit Hospital Corporation’s networkand server resources. Analyzes, plans, designs, implements, and configurenetwork and server components, to ensure systems are fully operational at alltimes. Adheres to industry standards, follows effective vendor/third partyrelationships, continuously follows good change management protocols, andensures work activities are performed in team-like fashions to successfullyachieve the goals of the department and organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Configure,test, and maintain various network devices and services (e.g., routers,switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, BGP)
• Performnetwork maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes and security configurations
• Monitorperformance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Coordinatethe timely deployment of new, updated or enhanced software (including patches,service packs, etc.) to network devices, performing thorough testing, changemanagement request(s), verification, and documentation of suitability.
• Maximizenetwork performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problemsand outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects onnetwork optimization.
• Createand maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, networkmapping, processes, and service records.
• Providedesign, engineering, and technical expertise regarding integration of new andexisting technology into IT systems architecture
• Interfacewith internal, partner, and third-party teams for configuration, integrationand deployment activities and projects
• ProvideTier-3 support for Windows and Linux based systems and services (e.g.,Exchange, AD, DNS, DHCP)
• Designand develop support tools, infrastructure monitoring capabilities, andautomation of deployment/troubleshooting routines
• Consolidateand aggregate data from disparate systems to provide intelligence thatproactively addresses infrastructure capacity and utilization concerns
• Developand maintain comprehensive support documentation targeted to multipleoperational levels (Tier 1 through 3)
• Developscript based solutions such as Microsoft PowerShell and VBS scripting languages
• Implementbest practice security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity andavailability of customer data
• Conductroutine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with establishedstandards, policies and configuration guidelines
• Document,schedule, conduct and test system changes in accordance with operationalguidelines
• Manageend-to-end of virtualization environment, capacity planning and performancemanagement, identifying opportunities for quality improvements, automation, andcost savings.
• Design,Build and migrate solutions to the cloud across the organization working withvarious teams. Responsible for Automation, Virtual networking/security andaccess in Cloud Services.
• Leadefforts to support and integrate our on premise Virtualization, Cloudinfrastructure and systems with external cloud as needed. Ensure on premise andoff premise workloads work well together. Develop reproducible migration plansfor workloads and applications
• Overseedelivery of all virtual-related projects. Track, report, and resolve issues ina timely manner to ensure delivery of services and projects.
• Developand implement the virtual server, virtual storage, virtual networking andvirtual backup infrastructure strategy.
• Supportthe architecture, preliminary design, analysis, implementation, and operationsof the server, storage, and backup infrastructure.
• Design,re-engineer, implement, manage & develop monitoring tools, such asSolarwinds, WhatsUp GOLD, etc. that will be used to support business decisionsfor monitoring systems heart rate and capability. Solarwinds expertise is givenpriority.
• Setupand utilize tools to discover and monitor a large IT network for potentialproblems. Problems could include network performance, power, malware intrusion,server faults, bandwidth capacity, storage capacity, server disk utilization,middleware, application performance, as well as memory and processorutilization.
• Monitorthe performance and capacity of network and computer systems using a variety ofmonitoring tools
• Ensurethe monitoring systems operate efficiently and are kept at the most currentstable version/release using vendor-supplied updates and patches. Performresearch and testing to verify impact of installing all updates. Coordinatesvendor support and ensures positive relationships are maintained.
• Developrobust reporting performance analysis from various performance reports forinternal and external distribution.
• Proactivelyidentify system deficiencies and assist in root cause analysis of system issuesto minimize impact and future occurrence. Escalate issues as warranted.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5years hands-on work experience in the Networking and server field required
• Currenttechnical certifications in Network and server fields (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
• Bachelor'sdegree, ideally in computer systems design or computer science (or equivalentwork experience)
• Skilledin Microsoft enterprise software and platforms required; valid Microsoftcertifications preferred
• Skilledin VMWare switching and Cisco catalyst hardware; valid VM certificationspreferred
• Skilledin designing, installing, configuring and administering Microsoft ActiveDirectory Services and PowerShell scripting
• Experiencemanaging Storage Area Networks (LUN creation, zoning and multi-pathing)
• Experiencedesigning high availability and disaster recovery (COOP) solutions.
