2. JOB PURPOSE:

To provide IT support of branch operations including desktop support to users, Network and infrastructure troubleshooting and maintenance with Head Office teams;  installation and maintenance of local applications, servers, workstations, and any other devices.

To ensure KPIs and SLAs are maintained and any issues are escalated and addressed to ensure smooth operation of the branch both technically and operationally

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Perform daily IT support for staff in the branch – including desktop and software and network support with the help of third party supporting as available in the branch.
  • Tracking and maintaining local branch IT support requests – updating and maintaining reporting in agreed ITSM tracking and monitoring tool
  • Perform daily IT operations activities to support daily and growing business endeavours
  • Assist Head of IT to evaluate the IT systems against business needs, both present and future, and recommend cost effective viable solutions
  • Support development plans for migration of technologies to support necessary future directions
  • Work with the regional compliance manager, business management and Head office teams to understand, analyze, articulate and address the local regulatory/compliance requirements.
  • Adopt and adapt Group IT Processes and standards to address the business needs
  • In coordination with the Head Office teams, execute tasks required to deliver the regulatory, audit, governance and risk related initiatives in the region
  • Monitoring and maintenance of Locally hosted Server room and DR Servers/rack at contingency site
  • Assist to collate and update information to report to the Head Office the key risks, major incidents, key changes, audit observations status, regulatory compliance and policy requirements
  • Work closely with Head of IT and various stakeholders in the region and HO to meet priorities as defined for implementation and roll out of IT Services in the region.
  • Assist to monitor the efficiency of service provided by the vendors and initiate appropriate actions.
  • Maintain the IT asset register and CMDB up to date at all times
  • Ensure full compliance to Anti virus, patch and vulnerability management guidelines of the group.
  • Assist Head of IT in developing SOPs for various IT activities in the branch in line with the group policies and processes
  • Conduct backup and recovery process as per the guidelines/SOPs on the locally hosted systems and reporting the results to the local management and HO on periodic basis.
  • Assist to monitor and report the KPIs of IT Services to ensure alignment with SLAs and minimize deviations
  • Conduct regular vendor reviews to ensure alignment to the committed SLAs along with Head of IT
  • Assist Head of IT in preparation of technical Scope of work for the Annual Maintenance contracts.
  • Assist in audit remediation planning and implementation with adherence to deadlines and target dates.
  • Maintain IT Security best practices during project implementations and daily administration tasks.
  • Adherence to Group and local policies and procedures.

5. Job Context

(Specific accountabilities unique for the role which are not covered in Section 4)

The job holder should provide and execute IT support for the Bank's daily operations, and strategic business activities in the Washington branch. The job holder’s responsibilities include ensuring support for the applications, network, data storage, data backup and recovery services; patch and vulnerability management of IT infrastructure, operating systems, internet and internal security systems.

To execute Vendor Management and Asset management activities including supporting Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises with the help of Head Office.

This role is expected work closely with Head Office – IT teams to support the country’s business operations.

There may be scheduled/project work outside of regular business hours

  • Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organisational and governance frameworks.

7. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related Information Technology discipline

Minimum Experience

  • Experience of at least 10 years in information technology and service management.
  • Strong knowledge of contracting, negotiation, organization development, change management, technology trends, service management and strategic planning.
  • Extensive knowledge of automated systems including software, hardware, telecommunications and in particular, information technology architecture in a banking environment.
  • Should have hands on experience in system administration and network management in BFSI sector.  Banking preferable.
  • Should understand the ITIL methodology very well 
  • Powershell Scripting experience is a plus.
  • Experience in disaster recovery best practices.
  • Preferably should be a Microsoft Certified professional with good understanding of MS SQL Server administration, Server 2012/2016/2019 and strong experience in Windows 10 deployment and troubleshooting. Oracle DB administration is a plus.
  • Working experience in Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager is preferable.
  • Significant executive experience and knowledge of the enterprise business is required.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Very strong conceptual, analytical judgment and communication abilities are critical.
  • Strong experience is required in VMware technology, Veeam Backup and Replication, Bare-metal Imaging and backups and automated deployment tools such as Acronis and Symantec Ghost.
  • Experience in Office 365 and Amazon AWS is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Cisco switches administration and Fortinet Firewalls
