Pleasanton, CA Retail $53 OGG Engineer Job Description: Oracle Golden Gate (19c) Configuring Source and target Oracle Golden Gate (19c) Agents, including collision resolution configuration for bi-directional replication. In the same table SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE operation will happen on the same tables, same row and same attributes in both database instances (DB2 & Azure). Configure OGG for initial data load for configured tables in test as well as in production environment. Roles & Responsibilities: Configuring Source and target Oracle Golden Gate (19c) Agents, including collision resolution configuration for bi-directional replication. In the same table SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE operation will happen on the same tables, same row and same attributes in both database instances (DB2 & Azure). Configure OGG for initial data load for configured tables in test as well as in production environment. Execution of Test scenarios and Validation. Following activities involved in this step Preparation : create tables and load data in source DB2 tables. Table & data can be imported from existing SIMS test environments. Similarly, tables to be created in Azure SQL. Execution There are DML scripts to be executed to simulate the user / batch operations on both databases (DB2 and Azure SQL). These DML scripts will create bulk records. Data transfer volume is expected to be high with high concurrency transactions. Validation Once test execution completes, some data validation queries (“SELECT “) to be executed to validate if data is replicated correctly. Analyze and report the latency/lag time based on volume of replication between mainframe and Azure DB. As we progress with application migrations phases, the number of tables to be replicated will get increased. Based on the performance feedback OGG configuration tuning (performance tuning) to be done. The expectation is to extract/generate the reports from OGG to get replication statistics on performance, bottlenecks, collisions details, replication rates etc. Analysis of existing mainframe application, data analysis as required Generic Managerial Skills: Good Communicator Strong leadership Interpersonal and Communication Skills Decision-Making Skill.
