Here are some notes:  

Hiring Manager: his team focuses on CI/CD processes across Prime

Role focuses CI/CD team. Works on CI/CD tooling and supporting all CI/CD practices within Prime. Bitbucket, Jenkins, NexusIQ (all pipeline capabilities). Helps developers onboard with these tools and coaches teams on how to automate. Wants this person to do training and bootcamp type efforts. Need developers who know how tools work and how to promote DevOps/CICD practices. Works in a horizontal team with other teams in Prime not a product team.

 

Java is primary language. Will not be doing a ton of development day to day, may be doing example code but not full product type development.

Developer who has a solid development background with a passion for this type of work and soft skills to be able to work across multiple teams to teach CI/CD processes.

 

Key skills:

Java

DevOps/CICD experience – Primary tools used are Jenkins, Bitbucket, NexusIQ. Doesn’t need experience will all tools, just an understanding of pipeline capabilities with various tools

Soft skills to coach and promote CICD practices across org not just direct team

 

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE -

  • Work with development teams to help them understand how to leverage our CI/CD toolset and coach on an automation and continuous improvement mindset -
  • Able to design and implement automated tasks within the team -
  • Understanding and ability to create test automation -
  • Work in an agile methodology, with a focus on the SAFe Framework -
  • Assist in establishing and driving the adoption of CI/CD practices -
  • Responsible for staying current with enterprise and industry standards, technologies, methodologies and best practices WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED? -
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience -
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in application development (focus on JAVA) -
  • Ability to identify issues, support and provide real time solutions for them -
  • Strong knowledge of framework/technologies: Git, Jira, CI & CD tools, artifact repository tools, and automation scripting via Ansible, etc. -
  • Automation experience with GUI tools like Selenium and Unit testing frameworks like JUnit 
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows Operating Systems -
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written to multiple levels of the organization -
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information -
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with immediate team members, other IS areas, and clients in other departments -
  • Strong ability to work on assigned and self-directed tasks with an emphasis on delivering results
