DevOps Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Automotive & Manufacturing clients in Portland, OR.The IT Cloud Computing and Emerging Technologies team is part of the IT Technology Infrastructure group and is responsible for cloud computing, new technologies and operations of hybrid cloud strategy including on-premise and off-premise environments. We are looking for a person with relevant knowledge or experience in systems integration of infrastructure and cloud environments, as well as new technologies such as autonomous driving development tools and processes.
Responsibilities:
• Develop infrastructure as code using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Terraform, Kubectl, PHP, Python, ARM, SALT, Ansible or similar
• Deploy infrastructure using DevOps Tools such as Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Git, Docker, Sonarqube, Checkmarx, Coverity
• Develop DevOps pipelines, automation and cloud integration
• Architecture, design and development of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, CaaS services
• Build, compile and develop container and process for tools such as Docker, Puppet and Kubernetes
• Build, compile and develop repository and pipeline tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, and
Kubernetes
• Work with agile methodologies to promote rapid deployments
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform and OS issues
• Develop and follow configuration management processes
• Develop and implement service health monitoring to ensure environment availability
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree plus 1-4 years experience or 5-7 years experience in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Experience or knowledge of cloud platform (Azure, AWS, IBM, Google or similar) required
• Experience or knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub, Jenkins, or similar) required
• Experience or knowledge with the software development process required
• Experience or knowledge with scripting language (Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell or similar) required
• Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible or similar) required
• Working knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies required
• Experience with cloud computing services and platforms such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and CaaS required
• Experience or knowledge with Windows and UNIX/LINUX OS (RH, Ubuntu, SUSE) desired
• Experience with networking and related protocols desired
