This role will be a technical position responsible for the installation, maintenance, operational support and configuration of PeopleSoft, PeopleTools and associated Middleware infrastructure while working closely with database, application and server teams. Operational support and ownership of PeopleSoft and related middleware infrastructure. This person will work with various teams and will need to have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Assist in managing client’s expectations and perceptions relative to the defined deliverables. Ability to work independently as well as to function as a participating team member. Collaborate with vendors and other staff to develop, evaluate, install and test software enhancements. Ability to work outside business hours as/when needed.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Experience with PeopleSoft and PeopleTools Installations/Upgrades, patching using Change Assistant.
  • Expert in PeopleSoft patching and maintenance on UNIX and windows systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Server virtualization, PeopleSoft debugging, PeopleSoft tuning
  • Experience with 9.x applications and using latest patching methods (PUM) from Oracle.
  • Experience in and thorough understanding of Peoplesoft security including User Administration, Development Tools, Integration Tools.
  • Experience performing Oracle DB backups, restores and refresh/cloning
  • Good understanding on Oracle RDBMS architecture
  • Experience in and thorough understanding of software development processes, application architectures, software productivity enhancement alternatives, and software testing methodologies.
  • Experience in quickly gathering and analyzing information in order to make timely and appropriate decisions on system issues.
  • Proven ability in designing and implementing processes or systems to meet business requirements.
  • Experience BAT, Shell, and PowerShell scripting
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is plus
  • Relevant field Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, WebLogic Relational database engines (Oracle, MySQL, SQL)
  • Ability to react positively under pressure to meet tight deadlines

 

  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available services Working knowledge of RHEL and Windows operating systems
  • Experience working with application monitoring and performance tools preferred

 

  • Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible preferred

 

  • Knowledge of cloud concepts in AWS and Azure preferred

 

  • Experience with Agile Methodologies and working on Agile teams is preferred
