JOB DETAIL

LEAD UI DESIGNER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR, DESIGN SYSTEMS

You Will

  • Set visual and creative design standards for the product organization through the Design System
  • Evolve and maintain the brand expression in the Design System
  • Evolve and maintain Design System principles, components and product patterns
  • Recommend updates and additions to system components, patterns and elements based on product needs and market trends
  • Contribute design system processes, operating models and roadmap
  • Ensure that UX and UI designers across the company correctly apply the Design System, ensuring adherence, quality and consistency
  • Act as an internal champion for the Design System, advocating for its use and helping teams understand when, how and why to use it
  • Create component mockups, visual documentation, guidelines, icons, illustrations, information graphics and other design artifacts as needed 

You Have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a visual design field, such as graphic design, interaction design, illustration, industrial design or comparable design discipline
  • Experience designing for Design Systems
  • 8-15 years of experience in the field of design, with a focus on designing and delivering business or enterprise applications that are complex, high-volume, and high profile
  • A strong portfolio featuring visual and interaction design skills for desktop and mobile, including how the designs lead to positive business outcomes
  • A strong understanding of design principles including grid systems, composition, typography, and color
  • Ability to proactively identify and address issues independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate design decisions and best practices in a clear, compelling way
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to, and build rapport with, other UX designers, researchers, and project teams
