JD:

Linux Administrator with Perl Programming Experience

§  6+ years Red Hat or CentOS system administration and programming experience

§  A solid understanding of modern Perl programming and an awareness of design from low level system calls through high level application design

§  Deep Perl knowledge of modules, signals, processes, performance and security

§  Deep understanding of Red Hat Linux or CentOS, including networking, boot issues, partitioning, monitoring, root cause investigation, installation and remote updates

§  Experience with Linux version control systems (CVS, SVN, or git)

§  General experience with server hardware components, especially storage

§  Enough Apache and MySQL administration and/or google chops to address issues carefully and precisely in real time while under pressure to resolve them quickly

§  Strong understanding of application and Linux system security tools, exploit methods, and system hardening. 

§  Virtualization and cloud platforms experience (VMware, Xen, KVM, or lxc)

§  Should be US Citizen Only (as the job involves dealing with US Govt customers)
