VDOT is seeking a .NetApplications Developer who will be responsible for analyzing softwarerequirements to design and develop high quality components for N-tier systems.

The junior developer isexpected to work with the team, ensuring that programming best practices arebeing followed, prioritizing work effectively, addressing production issues ina timely manner, and writing system documentation when required. The successfulcandidate should have strong communication skills to be effective in bothtechnical and business requirement discussions.

Primaryresponsibilities include:

?      Ability todevelop web applications and backend services using  C#, ASP.NET MVC, RESTAPI, .NET Core, OData, Java Script, JQuery, Node.js and CSS. Design and developdatabase objects in SQL Server.

?      Design anddevelop using appropriate software design patterns to attain high re-usabilityand maintainability.

?      Write effectiveunit tests and integration tests to ensure high quality software delivery

?      Knowledge ofsystem design patterns, tiered architecture, and testing practices.

?      Understanding ofkey business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.

?      Ability to planand manage projects. Ability to solve problems by applying best practices.

?      Work with projectbusiness and system analysts to clarify the requirements and then implementthem
