Software Developer / Automation Engineer (SDET) Job Summary:
Seeking a mid-level software engineer with an eye towards writing automation. This position will entail designing and developing services and web applications for the enterprise group. These are highly critical services that form the foundation of the online platform.
Software Developer / Automation Engineer (SDET) Job Responsibilities:
- Perform duties as both software developer and test engineer and make sure quality objectives are fulfilled on a par with requirements
- Participate in supporting other team members and projects the team owns via code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions
- Monitor test automation results and make sure any software defect is documented and addressed prior to product delivery
- Analyze applications and make necessary changes to optimize performance
- Supporting and testing production releases via automated scripts
- Implement user stories and bug fixes
Software Developer / Automation Engineer (SDET) Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on, object-oriented Java development experience
- Hands on experience with automation frameworks like protractor, java selenium, etc.
- Hands-on experience with various SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, etc.)
- Able to write acceptance criteria, automation and execute regression testing
- Experience of building server-side RESTful applications using Spring Boot and automation tools
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Experience with Front End Development using JavaScript and related frameworks & libraries like AngularJS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required
Desired Skills:
- Experience building and monitoring microservices.
- Knowledge of programming languages other than Java like GoLang, NodeJS, etc
- Knowledge of NoSQL database technologies like Couchbase, Redis, etc.
- Experience with cloud technologies (specifically Amazon Web Services).
- Experience with Build/deploy tools and pipelines like Jenkins, Circle, etc.
