SQL Server DBA / Engineer. This opportunity is a 12+ Month (Contract) located in Marlborough, MA.
*Client PREFERS LOCAL candidates (MA, NH, CT or RI)*
**Client will hire over phone and Skype, role will start remote will require to move and work onsite, post COVID**
Job Description
Years of Exp: 8-10 years (please do not send overqualified profiles)
Experience required:
• SQL server upgrades & migration from SQL 2008/2012/2014 to SQL 2017/2019.
• Reporting Services migration from SQL 2008/2012 to SQL 2017/2019.
• Document existing Replications and come up with plans to optimize them.
• Work with Storage, Security, Windows Admin and QA teams to setup configurations and validations.
• Design and document data flow, database architecture and schema diagrams
• Respond to requests from key stakeholders.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
• Minimum job skills required to perform this job (for example: programming languages, strong interpersonal skills, computer software packages).
• Must have hands-on experience with SQL Server Administration, Security Administration, and Replication, stored procedures, performance tuning and optimization.
• SQL Server Upgrades from older versions to latest version 2019.
• Clear understanding of Database and Business Intelligence Systems architecture.
• Database server migrations and storage/SAN experience a big plus.
• Designing large-scale high-performance systems.
• Data Modeling principles for relational and Data warehouse design principles (Kimball).
• Microsoft SQL Server technologies SQL Server database engine, Integration Services (SSIS), and Reporting Services (SSRS).
