Role: Oracle DBA
Location : Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 6 month (Possible extension)

 Experience: 

Skills Required:

Oracle, Exadata, SQL, Shell, NOSQL

5 years’ experience with 2 years of Enterprise DBMS experience

The Database Administrator responsibilities include:

1. Manage the database technology strategy set for your portfolio (including Oracle RAC install/configure, Golden Gate install/setup, Apache Cassandra install/setup);
2. Designing and building physical database schemas (relational DDL, documents, column families, graphs, etc.) and optimizing databases for speed, scalability and availability;
3. Design/implement Golden Gate across different Data Centers;
4. Setup monitoring process using OEM, or any other monitoring tools;
5. 24/7 production support schedule;

Required skills:

1. Development and hands-on experience in most of the following DB types: Oracle RAC, Golden Gate, MsSQL;
2. Expertise in configuration, development, and administration of large, mission-critical database environments;
3. Demonstrative knowledge and experience in using NoSQL technology for real world application solutions & deployment, Cassandra;
4. The ability to match the application needs to the appropriate database technology solution through experience, research and testing from the design phase through production;
5. Shell scripting;
6. Strong interpersonal skills
7. Available for weekend shifts.

 Knowledge of:  

1. Microservice architectures;
2. Database build automation techniques;
