Ansible/Azure DevOps Automation Engineer. This role will sit 100% REMOTE. Candidates must familiar with working a healthcare environment.

Why is this role open?
Company is standing up a new data center and helping migrate over to Azure cloud. Small team (Ops). Our current infrastructure, both onsite and cloud-based, requires a great deal of manual effort to deploy and maintain our resources appropriately and to remain in compliance. Through automation and “DevOps”, we can take advantage of modern configuration and deployment platforms to alleviate the burden of manual building and patching of new virtual machines and Azure “platform as a service” resources. This would work to decrease time to deployment and help keep our environment secure.
· We would look to this role to help accelerate our transition towards containerization and reproducible research using technologies including Docker, Kubernetes and Singularity.
· This role will work with our teams to increase our use of containers by assisting with the creation of custom Docker images, establishing container registries and using cloud technologies including Azure Container Instances and Azure Kubernetes Service
· Responsible for helping us design and implement an Ansible automation program to better manage the configuration and maintenance of our virtualized and physical infrastructure
· The Automation & DevOps Engineer will work within Research Software Engineering to establish and maintain programming build pipelines
· Experience with Azure implementations of container technologies
· A qualified candidate will have a high level of familiarity with common IT systems and services such as RedHat Linux administration, networking, security, etc.
· Ansible experience for physical and cloud resource configuration and maintenance
· Terraform to manage the deployment of cloud-based infrastructure to strengthen our cloud-first abilities and to enhance our business continuity options
· The A & D Engineer will also be expected to possess a high level of understanding of Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
