Position: Siebel Developer

Location: Remote

Description:

The Senior Software Engineer provides a lead role in the design, development and support of technology solutions to support Sleep Number business processes. This position will complete development activities related to objects in Siebel with a focus on the Service modules. This person should be skilled in Siebel development and be willing to own and code objects along with managing the small team.

Primary Responsibilities

Works closely with end users in the identification and documentation of business requirements and potential application solutions to help the user meet those requirements.
Develops detailed system design specifications to serve as a guide for system/program development.
Code, test, debug, and document more complex programs, and enhance existing programs to ensure that data processing production systems continue to meet user needs.
Provides guidance and training to less-experienced programmers in order to improve productivity.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex production issues
Creates and/or manages complex processes with high organizational impact
Challenges the status quo and able to identify creative technical solutions
Function as a mentor to other team members
Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs.
Other skills required or preferred

Development experience in Siebel Open UI, EAI, Workflow, eScript and EIM
Development experience in XML and Java desirable
Prefer experience, training or knowledge of various software development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
Requires strong oral and written communication required
Must be able to influence decisions by identifying risks and opportunities
Must be a creative problem solver, flexible, proactive, and work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
