We have a 24-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Data Warehouse Developer, Expert

Data warehouse project supporting critical functions focused on the development and optimization of fraud queries primarily related to Fraud Detection/Improper Payment for the Office of Special Investigations, Benefits Policy, Audit and Training and others.

Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to:

• Data Warehouse design, development, support, and data mining related to new and existing complex Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) routines related to Fraud Detection/Improper Payment algorithms.
• Develop, test, and implement program logic for data mining and ETL development.
• Efficiently implement ETL technical specifications from development through test, staging and production environments.
• Optimize ETL data load jobs to improve performance and automate.
• Investigating and resolving data loading and/or data integrity issues.
• Create solutions to improve system performance and availability.
• Develop and maintain logical and physical dimensional data models for data warehouse/data mart.
• Follow agency standards to ensure data accuracy and integrity through analysis and coding.
• Write clear documentation of process and data modeling and all associated tasks and documents including unit and quality assurance test plans.
• Work closely with Office of Special Investigations, Data Warehouse and Management staff to ensure clear communication between all parties.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Creates computer software. May specialize in one area of computer software or may write code for many kinds of software.
• 84+ Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 84 Months Experience developing fraud detection methodologies and transforming data elements into meaningful fraud detection queries and customer output
• 84 Months Experience in Unemployment Insurance.
• 84 Months Experience developing and testing query solutions using Oracle PL/SQL query.

• 84 Months Experience using IBM Data Stage.

• 84 Months Experience with UNIX Shell Scripting
• 84 Months Experience developing dimensional data models for Cognos data analytics
• 84 Months Experience with ETL design/Data Warehouse development using PL/SQL programming
• 84 Months Experience in tuning SQL within an Oracle environment to ensure timely and efficient execution of queries
• 36 Months Experience working with PPI and SSA data security requirements (working with data contained in Employee Records in a State Agency, Federal Agency, or Private Organization) in a data warehouse environment.
