Job title: Hadoop Data Engineer
Location : Minneapolis, MN
Job Type : Contract /Remote till Covid -19

Roles/Responsibilities (5 – 8 day to day candidate’s responsibilities)

Hadoop Data Engineer Experience in Cloudera distribution

Skilled in Spark and Hive

Strong experience in SQL and query writing

Experience in Impala is secondary requirement

Strong preference for experience in Scala

Python is second preferred language

Very good ETL knowledge and strong in DW concepts

Past experience in DE moving data from Oracle DB to Hadoop

Required Qualifications (5 – 8 bullet points on must have skills)

5+ years of Cloudera Hadoop Stack

5+ in Spark/Hive

3+ in Scala

1-3 in Python

3+ years of data modeling experience

5+ years of data warehouse experience

5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience

Ability to provide critical architectural input including evaluating, proposing, and selecting appropriate design alternatives which meet functional requirements

Deep Data Analysis experience

Knowledge of formal database architecture and design

Possesses a strong aptitude/passion for creative problem solving when dealing with ambiguity

Strong communication skills

Ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple business areas, functions, and geographies and working in a fast-paced environment.
