Title: Mongo DBA

Location: Richmond, VA / McLean, VA

Duration: Contract

Responsibilities & Skills:

·        Over 5 years of experience in database administration tasks including installation, configuration, upgrades, migration and patching with 2 + years of  Mongodb database administration tasks like sharding, replication, performance and optimization server database installation, configuration, backup recover and restore in AWS cloud platform.

·        Experience in Installation and configure mongodb instances on the AWS platform.

·        Experience in Configuring multi node MongoDB sharded cluster and replica sets on RedHat Linux and Ubuntu Linux.

·        Strong knowledge in mongodb concepts - CRUD operations and aggregation framework.

·        Experience in Mongodb Ops managers to manage Mongodb deployment and optimize cluster.

·        Experience in configuring high availability (failover) across AWS regions,  read preference in Mongodb replica sets & Backup and recovery database optimization and security maintenance.

·        Experience in  TLS/SSL security to encrypt all of Mongodb’s network traffic.

·        Experience in upgrading Mongodb database server & AWS rehydration activities to rehydrate the Infrastructure to latest AMI.

·        Experience in Python & CI tools Ansible for automation
