Job Title: Java Android Lead with Embedded Infotainment

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:

Our Client is looking for Java Android Lead with Embedded Infotainment in Atlanta, GA .

7+ years of software development experience

3+ years programming experience in core Java , Android Java , Kotlin

2+ Experience in developing Embedded/Infotainment Systems (C, C++, or Java) .

2+ years of Android Java/Kotlin application development experience in Android Studio and Gradle/Maven

Good communication skills

Preferred Experience:

Familiar with best practices in Android application development and preferably Android Automotive

Experience with IPC methods such as Binder, AIDL/HIDL, Message Queues

Experience with software development for the automotive and/or off highway vehicle industry

Understanding of Automotive networking protocols such as J1939, CAN, LIN

Experience with Git and Gerrit in a team environment

Experience with established Software Development Processes such as V-Model or Agile

Experience with unit test tools

Major Responsibilities:

Design and implement Android applications for Operator Interface Displays , Infotainment systems(Android Automotive).

Interact with customer and gather requirements, requirement analysis and clarification

Help define requirements and evaluate technical feasibility of implementation

Estimate effort for software deliverables

Analyze and root cause software issues

Participate in code reviews

Design and execute unit tests

Interface with co-located internal and external development teams
