Job Title: Mainframe Z/OS

Location: Richardson, TX

Mode: Contract

Job Description:

•             Support SYSPLEX environment

•             Capable of installing/upgrading z/OS systems.

•             Should have sound knowledge of SMP/e, JCLs, MVS concepts, JES, HCD, HMC, SDSF, Catalog Management etc.

•             Knowledge of installing and supporting commonly used ISV products like VDR , Tape management tool (CA-1), Scheduling tools (ZEKE) ,FDRABR etc.

•             Capable of Installing regular maintenance (RSUs)

•             Supporting any hardware or software upgrade in the environment(reviewing PSP Bucket etc).

•             Capable of planning for and supporting Disaster recovery exercises.

•             Perform trouble shooting and provide 24X7 oncall support to the clients supported.

•             Participate in major incident resolution & root cause analysis of repeated incidents.

•             Application Programmer Technical Assistance

•             Working with IBM support or vendor for problem resolution

•             Need to handle incidents, requests & changes

•             Support zOS upgrade from ISV perspective

•             Should have sound knowledge on USS activities

•             Good communication skills and a team player

•             Good analytical and debugging skills

•             Experience in installing products using CA CSM desirable

•             Sound knowledge of the IPL process and ability to coordinate monthly IPLs with the DC operations and other involved teams
