Position : VMware Administrator
Location: Dallas, TX (Post COVID)
Duration : C2C or FTE.
Job Description: VMware
- Analytical & technical correlation of issue indicators for problem solving
- Develop resolution to problems & system issues and document procedures
- Experience in VMWare technology stack administration and troubleshooting to include – vCenter, ESXi, Vsan, SRM, & HCX
- Experience in VMWare technology stack monitoring and best practices to include general VMware KPIs for performance availability, vROPS, vRNI & Wavefront
- Knowledge of Ansible, Jenkins, PowerShell/CLI and other automation tools
- Experience in VMC, deployment principles and HCX limitations
- Strong knowledge of storage concepts (RAID, Block vs File, NAS etc.,)
- Effective detect, diagnose, and correlate VMWare monitoring alarms to production incidents
- Passionate and ability to diagnose root cause and identify automation opportunities, recommend design solutions, and implement automated processes
- Delivery focused organization to reduce the Mean Time To Repair issues that requires hands-on expertise to solve problems than being instruction or documentation driven
