Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Clearwater, FL
Duration: Contract to Hire

Job Description:
The Data Engineer has experience as a SQL Server developer and in-depth proficiency in Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, OLTP, OLAP, ETL, Operational Data Store (ODS), Data Mart, Data Warehouse, performance tuning and database technologies. Must be able to recognize and respond to complex and non-routine issues, and plan and lead large scale, complex assignments. Additionally, this role is responsible for the evaluation of systems and assisting with determining future needs to create and drive improvements of technology, processes and standards.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as technical lead for large, complex projects to provide new or improved ETL services.
Expert in analyzing, designing, developing, installing, configuring and deploying MS SQL Server suite of products with Business Intelligence in SQL Server Integration Services.
Expertise in writing T-SQL Queries, Dynamic-queries, sub-queries and complex joins for generating Complex Stored Procedures, Triggers, User-defined Functions, Views and Cursors.
Skilled in error and event handling: precedence Constraints, Break Points, Check points and Logging.
Experience in using SSIS tools like Import and Export Wizard, Package Installation, and SSIS Package Designer.
Experience in importing/exporting data between different using SSIS/DTS utility.
Experience in ETL processes involving migrations and in sync processes between two databases.
Experience in creating configuration files to deploy the SSIS packages across all environments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience Requirements
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field desired; or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of ETL engineer experience in an enterprise with increasing responsibilities.
Microsoft Certifications such as MCSE is preferred
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving experience in a large enterprise environment
Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Reliable contributor both individually and as a member of the team
Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
