Role: BI Engineer (PowerBI , Cosmos)
Location: Bellevue, Washington
Duration: 6+ month (Possible extension)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Create Cosmos Streams and write scope queries to read and extract data from Cosmos
• Write Kusto queries to create Power BI and Geneva dashboards
• Author data ETL pipelines on Azure SQL Database
• Build dashboards and reports using Power BI, Geneva Analytics, App Insights, xPerts and other data visualization tools
• Own Technical design of components with overall systems view.
• Own and maintain source code according to standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and PMs to provide technical oversight, ensure clarity and right results are being met.
• Implement data processing and monitoring standards to address data latency & data quality.
• Ensure the BI solutions are stable, supportable, extensible, and trusted by our business partners.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years’ experience in developing on Azure SQL database, Azure Analysis Services, Data Factory, Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, Power BI, Geneva, and Cosmos
• 5+ years’ experience in developing on DAX, ETL using Microsoft BI stack, SSIS, SSAS
• In-depth knowledge and ability to build data pipelines from, on-prem data sources, blob storages to Azure SQL database
• Development experience in Big Data platforms, Azure Cosmos DB, .Net, C# is a huge plus.
• Exposure to Kusto, R, Python, Azure Machine Learning or similar languages is a huge plus.
• An attention to detail with self-discipline and a drive for results.
• Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field is required
