Full Job Description
- Job Description: Perform duties required to design, write, program and maintain embedded firmware used in association with brewing and dispensing equipment manufactured by Newco.
- Responsibilities:
- Program, evaluate, design, modify, develop, write, and maintain new or enhanced firmware for use in company products.
- Participate in the testing process throughout test review and analysis, test witnessing and production sign-off of software.
- Participate in customer design meeting and acceptance reviews
- Work with hardware engineers and test technicians to provide technical assistance as needed
- Assist in debugging field problems.
- Skill Requirements:
- C programming in a real-time embedded environment
- Assembly language programming
- Knowledge of digital and microprocessor circuits
- Knowledge of analog electronic circuits
- Ability to initiate action and solve problems.
- Must be able to prioritize work schedule and workload
- Touch screen graphics and wireless networking familiarity a plus
- Familiarity with Microchip PIC strongly preferred
- This position requires extraordinary attention to detail. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to work under pressure, have strong engineering, design, and communications skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
- Education / Experience:
- AS/BS degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of programming experience in a product development environment.
- Proficiency in C and Assembly Language Programming required
