Senior Scala Developers

Location: Bentonville, AR

long term remote contract opportunity.

MUST HAVE:

�  Scala/Java (With a willingness to learn Scala)

�  Akka Experience

�  Functional programming using Scala

Experience with Cloud technologies such as, Azure, GCP.(Azure Preferred)

Experience with Devops technologies such as Git, Jenkins,Kubernetes/Docker

Heavy Coding andimplementation role.

�  Functional programmingusing Scala

�  Akka as theimplementation of the actor model

�  -kka Streams

�  Reactive/event drivensystems architecture

�  Play, Spring, or other webservice frameworks

�  Azure Event Hubs or Kafka

�  Cassandra and other bigdatabase implementations

�  Contribute to overallsystem design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability, andperformance of applications

�  Support the build anddeployment pipeline and when necessary, both diagnose and solve productionsupport issues

�  Identify, scope, andarchitect solutions for new features while applying sound technical judgmentthat considers technology alternatives, impact on affected / adjacent systems,and tradeoffs

�  Work with Product, Design,and QA to deliver world-class digital experiences

�  Get the opportunity tostay ahead of new technologies with an eye to evaluating and potentiallyincorporating them into your team's architecture

�  Apply understanding tohelp improve the cloud infrastructure that powers our high-performance,consumer-scale site and mobile apps

�  Lead initiatives,technical design, and delivery of complex features across multiple systems toimprove user experiences

�  Recommend changes toprocesses and tools at the team level based on industry standards, patterns,and practices

�  Diagnose / fix highlycomplex technical issues independently

�  Identify and communicatecross-team dependencies

�  Communicate individual andproject-level development statuses, issues, risks, and concerns to technicalleadership and management; research / advise technical leadership in vendornegotiations

�  Create documentation andtraining related to technology stacks and standards within assigned team

�  Provide end-to-end supportto applications
