JOB DETAIL

Job Title: Data Analyst with PIM (Retail/eCommerce)

Location: Long Island, New York

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

  • Good functional background in Retail/eCommerce (marketing) product data domain.
  • Dealing with large data sets, data quality, data governance, understanding of product data model (Exp. with PIM tools like Akeneo, MDM), product taxonomy, product catalog are some of the key words to look for.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining centralized master data elements across the global enterprise. Master Data components will primarily focus on Product Information, Transactional and Customer related data. Utilize data governance tools, standards and processes to ensure a high level of data quality. Work with analyst team and business teams to develop a healthy data quality mindset and data solutions to achieve business objectives. Run data quality monitoring and reporting to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Accountable to ensure data quality issues are addressed reliably and in a timely fashion.
  • Help maintain data lineage allowing users to trace data reliably to the point of origin and pinpoint any quality problems in the data pipelines
  • Monitor key data management and governance metrics to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the critical data within their domain(s).
  • Works with IT developers to translate business rules into data quality rules and implement them. Monitors, tracks and reports ongoing data quality levels.
  • Provide creative yet logical approaches to solving data problems
  • Maintain product attribution based on product managers' input
  • Understand and implement best practices in Data Management
  • Work independently while contributing to a team environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information-related discipline, or equivalent experience.  Master’s a plus.
  • Experience in master data management and/or data governance
  • Strong understanding of fundamental business processes and the impact of data downstream
  • Ability to identify and mitigate data quality issues effectively
  • SQL Query experience is desired
  • Strong skillset with spreadsheet software preferred
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Experience in Agile development environments, capturing and managing business requirements
  • Team oriented, goals oriented, and flexible with proven track record in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and driving results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communications skills - capable of developing well-structured communications and presentations, storytelling ability
