Their Transaction Data Store(TDS) does 2 types of transactions: Loans and Deposits (ATM, Fraud, Wiretransactions, POS)

These roles are downstreamworking with data, not upstream working with the business so functional is notimportant, but a nice-to-have. They are moving from their on-prem (home grown)data store (SQL Server) to the Cloud. Migration of all of their customeraccounts. Snowflake (data warehouse database) is what they have been migratingto. 85% completion to Snowflake. They also use AWS. The goal is to optimize thetransaction process to real-time processing for their customers. Right now,when someone makes a wire transfer for a mortgage and they aren’t approved, ittakes 24 hours for the customer’s relationship manager to be notified and contactthem. Once this migration is complete, the customer will have this informationin 30-90 minutes.

These resources will not bemigrating the data – they have a team of developers who will be doing this.They need to dive deep into the details to ensure transactions are captured ina timely manner. They will need to validate the data and ensure its compatiblewith the new data mart. This includes performing the data profiling, datamapping, and testing activities. 

It is not required for theseresources to have Cloud, but if these resources learn Snowflake and excel atthe new platform, they will keep the resources long-term. Snowflake Schema hasmany of the concepts remain the same so if someone has strong SQL skills thenthey should be able to figure this out.

Required Skills

• 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst
• 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries for data validation
• Must be skilled in data profiling and data mapping activities
• Must have experience in back-end, data-driven testing
• Self-starter with proven problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Having Banking and/or Financial expertise in Deposits (ATM, Fraud, Wires, etc.) and Loans
• Ability to document workflows, data structures, and business processes in Jira

Having experience with Snowflake Cloud datawarehouse
