Requirement-
Knowledgeable of scripting and programminglanguage(s); e.g., .Net, Java, HTML, Perl, C , C#, PHP, etc.; or expert levelin engineering discipline.
Master Level knowledge pertaining to: cloud bestpractices, patterns, tools and disciplines; e.g., Standard Operations Process,DevOps, TestOps, SecOps, Ci / CD, ITIL processes, standards (ISO 27001, SOC2etc), monitoring,
Service Level Management, cloud deployment, ARMtemplates, Terraform (or equivalent), microservices ecosystem management,account billing management, provisioning workflows, services, performancetuning, Azure cloud PaaS integration solutions, cloud based data accesspatterns and blueprints, big data processing, support for machine learning, bigdata infrastructures, web app performance assessment, and cloud securitydesign.
Expert in a plurality of the following technologies:Parallel and Distributed Processing Systems, Information Retrieval, DataMining, Natural Language Processing, Very Large Scale Databases, DeclarativeLanguages, and High-Performance Computing.
Solid working knowledge in a plurality of thefollowing areas: Network Design (LAN and WAN), Storage System Architectures,Service-Oriented Architecture technologies, XML and XSLT, and ParallelProcessing
Architectures (such as SMP and NUMA). Experience witha plurality of the following operating systems: Windows Server, UNIX (Linux),Azure Cloud (PaaS, IaaS), and other cloud providers.
Excellent problem-solving experience involving leadingteams; and excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer serviceskills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; strongresearch skills and strong ability to develop architectural business cases tiedto enterprise strategy.
Experienceand Qualifications: 15 years ofexperience in software, network, or systems architecture 5 years ofcross-entity product architecture experience with proven track record ofsuccessful enterprise impacts BS Engineering / Computer Science advanceddegree or equivalent experience required Software - Development Processes (ieAgile);
High Level Language Proficiency (ie Java); ScriptingLanguage Proficiency (ie Python); and Web Service Architecture. ContributingWith Impact - Communicates NPD’s overall vision and business goals in a compellingand relevant way; building commitment and alignment to change. DrivingProfitable Growth - Builds commitment, capabilities and discipline to executestrategic growth initiatives; Champions consistent, company-wide approaches(products, processes, policies and systems) to enhance expertise, efficiencyand ability to scale; strikes an effective balance between focus on executionof strategic priorities and near-term operational priorities.
Global IT Technical Capabilities - Understands what anenterprise continuum to classify contextual assets in architectures, such aspolicies, standards, strategic initiatives, organizational structures, andenterprise-level capabilities.
Architecture - Data Architecture, Integration,Management, Modeling, Protection Laws; and Big Data Platform (ie Spark /Hadoop), NoSQL, and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
Key Responsibilities: Synthesize business requirementswith the direction of technology to generate new ideas and inventions.
Communicatecomplicated technology concepts in a manner that is understandable in terms ofbusiness impact so that business decisions can be made.
Partner with other Architects as a key interactionpoint for communication, evangelism, governance, and feedback into centralarchitecture.
Perform technical evaluations of new technology andacquisition candidates as required.
Define and implement technology strategy such that wecan reduce the number of similar technologies and consolidate on standards, andleverage the ability to abstract and generalize such that common patterns canbe extracted from the implementation “noise.
” Provide consultancy and leadership, and promoteSoftware Engineering best practices.
Review and approve changes to infrastructuresubsystems and components. Provide architecture and design for largedevelopment efforts.
Perform technical evaluations of new technology andacquisition candidates as required.
Act as aconduit between Global Architecture (Enterprise Architects) and the Engineeringor Development teams.
Work across / with Architects from differentorganizations.
Introduce /train teams with new technology.
Drive technical direction and architecture evolutionvia reviews and on-floor leadership.
Proactively research, monitor, learn, and assessindustry/technology advancements and continually build alliances to exploreways to leverage and advance our technical opportunities.
Azure Cloud Certifications / Training required beforeor during onboarding.
All other duties as assigned. Technical Skills: Masterlevel in architectural design; master-level knowledge of architecturalgovernance. Strong understanding of programming languages, code, and database.
Proven experience of leading complex projects andcustomer relationships; and proven ability to work with external vendors tounderstand / communicate vendor technology strategy in the context of ourarchitecture, as well as future engineering architectural strategies.
