Job title:  Cyber Security Analyst

Location-  Remote

Duration –  Contract

 Rate:$50/ Hour On C2C - Not negotiable                       

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Cyber Security Analyst will actively participate all aspects on an information security program.  This includes creation and modifications of security documentation, conducting security assessments of systems to identify vulnerabilities, creating risk assessment reports, providing recommendations for existing risk remediation, and assisting system owners in implementing effective information security safeguards.

Duties/Responsibilities

•             Development and/or modification of information security policies, standards and procedures;

•             Development of information security assessment plans for systems, including the objectives, scope, schedule, required documentation, possible risks, and other logistical items for security assessments; Development of information security controls testing for On-Premise and Cloud based technology implementations;

•             Creation and management of risk assessment reports; 

•             Creation and management of Security Plans;

•             Conduct ad hoc testing on an as-needed basis to assist with development activities or vulnerability remediation;

•             Reviews/tests system security controls (administrative, technical and physical) to determine adequacy against common industry requirements (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, HIPAA Security and Privacy Rule);

•             Documents plans of action and milestones for corrective action following assessment activities and in response to identified vulnerabilities and risks;

•             Have the ability to communicate information risks as they relate to the business

•             Assist with the deployment and testing of information security controls for different technologies (e.g. operating systems, Cloud, applications, web servers)

•             Assist in the deployment of information security tools (e.g. vulnerability scanners, patch management tools, IDS/IPS tools, Next Generation Firewalls, URL filtering)

•             Develop and manage Incident Response Plans

•             Development and manage Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans

•             Recommends an appropriate security training program for employees

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

•             Bachelor's degree in computer science or a directly related field or Equivalent

•             Possess a CISSP

•             Experience and knowledge with industry security frameworks, in particular NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, MARS-E, HIPAA Security and Privacy Rule, PCI Data Security Standard, ISO 27001/27002

•             Experience and knowledge with SSAE 16 SOC 2, Type I and II attestations

•             Experience and knowledge with information security risk assessment reports

•             Must have in-depth knowledge of the process of information security risk management

•             Experience and knowledge with Cloud Technologies, specifically Azure Cloud

•             Technical experience with implementation and management of security controls with operating systems, applications, databases, web technologies, encryption, Identification/Authentication, Access Control, Discretionary and Role Based Access Control models
