Senior Java Developer

Location: Manassas VA – Remote to start then onsite

Duration:18 month contract

Must be senior (10 or plus year exp.) – Banking background required! 

Responsibilities:

In line with team objectives, policies andprocedures, to advise, lead, control and follow through design, development ofspecifications, coding, testing and maintenance of high quality applicationsoftware, tools and development projects.
 
Requirements: For our ongoing project initiatives, we requireindividuals with excellent JAVA programming experience with following usage:
 
* JAVA 8, Restful API implementation usingTomcat, JSON and XML data formats and Cryptography implementation in JAVA.
* Python Scripting and JUnit Testing experience
* Lambda Expressions & Streams is addedadvantage
* Candidate should have advanced understandingof object oriented programming using JAVA . 
* Candidate should be able to coder review forbest practices, security and coding standards. 
* Linux operating system experience is must.
* Working knowledge of Python programming is aplus for this position
 
Thefollowing database skills are not mandatory but desired:

* NOSQL
* CASSANDRA
* Kafka/Kafka stream
