Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for a Sr. Java Developer (PySpark, Python) to join our financial services team in Reston, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.


This position is a part of the strategic initiative's projects in Securitization and Servicing area working on the latest tech stack.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
AWS Certification desired


Your future duties and responsibilities
We are seeking a Sr. Java Developer (PySpark, Python) to help develop large scale mission-critical business requirements. Python, databases, and AWS are some of the technologies used. Candidate must have strong programming, analytical and problem-solving skills.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 10+ yrs. IT Industry experience
• Expert in Pyspark, Python, Pysql, and design technique as well as experience working across large environments with multiple operating systems
• Strong Database development experience
• Strong programming experience in Java, J2EE
• Experience with using agile methodologies for software development
• Strong AWS cloud computing experience. Extensive experience in Lambda, S3
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired qualifications
Hands-on experience in big data migration from on-prem to cloud
