The Conversational Engineer is responsible for creating the way our Digital Personas communicate with users. These are not just chatbots, but Digital Humans that are expected to be highly conversational, interactive, and enjoyably engaging. The Conversational Engineer is expected to implement content in a way that supports clear, effective communication representative of the voice and personality of the client brand.Additionally, this role will work with our internal development teams to improve the processes and technologies necessary to create state of the art interactions with Digital Humans.

Responsibilities:Help us bring our digital humans to life with engaging and enjoyable personalities.Help lead the Conversational Design of our intelligent Digital Humans from the ground up, in a way that provides true value to our customers.Design and implementation of all elements of conversation for the digital human. Exploration, creation, and optimization of intents, utterances, entities, and other conversational signal Dialog engineering, testing, and training for continuous learning and improvement Failure analysis and proposal of configurations and other changes within the system per user /customer business needs. 

Work closely with our development team to create technical specifications for how to improve the conversational creation process. 

Balance business requirements with technical feasibility and set expectations on new projects. Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards.

Help shape our Conversation Design process and documentation methods to support the testing and development of conversational functionality.Essential skills:BS/MS in Computer/Social Science, Engineering, or related/equivalent field ideally with a significant Machine Learning or AI component.

3+ years' experience with machine learning.Excellent communication skills with an awareness of and ability to optimize interaction experiences Experience in one of the following languages: Python, Java, HTML, etc. Experience working with NLU/NLP systems such as IBM Watson Conversation, , or Microsoft LUIS. Technically competent in creating User Flow diagrams and be open to learning to new UX documentation and prototyping tools specific for interactive conversation design.
