Title: BI Analyst
Location: Richardson, TX
Duration: 6+Months

US Citizen Green Card only

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborates with domain owners and leaders on critical strategic projects, Drives analysis across data domains
Partner with business and data owners to champion and drive data governance adoption
Interprets data and turns it into information to drive technical requirements, Leads design workshops.
Extracts, analyzes, and correlates data from multiple potentially disparate source, Plans and executes data mining, trend analysis, and ad hoc data activities
Establish quality and reconciliation processes for domain ownership
Define terms and definitions for critical data elements in conjunction with business and technology partners
Document data flow requirements and ETL logic to accomplish inter-system data sharing, reporting, or dashboarding
Manages access controls and security, Capture and report data governance and quality statistics
Serves as an expert regarding all data to support complex analyses and provide informed, data-driven decisions
Additional Info:

Some BA or Data Analyst background or the combo of the 2 is helpful
Strong experience with data governance is very strongly preferred
Strong experience with strategy and policy and governance
Candidate must be very technical but able to work and communicate/consult with the business
Candidate will be responsible for looking at data from different domains such as HR, Deposit/Treasury and Credit for example and consume the data and work with the development team, will need some requirement gathering knowledge
The client has several BA’s and needs a more technical data analysts to be able to help with data issues within the different domains in the bank
The candidate will also help launch data governance
Strong data discovery experience is essential to help teams on what data is needed and how to use the data / answer questions from different domains about their data and repair data issues
The candidate will also gather requirements and work with the development team
We are looking for someone that understands data quality and what data looks like across the enterprise before moves into the data warehouse
Candidate should have strong ability to analyze data and strong knowledge of data quality and lineage and help put in data governance
The candidate should be very technical but also, able to consult and bridge the gap between technology and the business
Candidate should have strong management of data to enhance projects
Must have strong data analyst skills and must be able to write requirements
Candidate should be able to drive strategy and must have excellent communication/presentation skills so he / she can deep dive into technology and talk to the business as well
Experience working with Agile methodologies is helpful in order to assist with user stories
Knowledge of system integrations and different transformations of data-able is helpful in order to track down problems with data and recommend solutions
The candidate should be able to determine where critical data is coming from
Strong SQL knowledge in order to use Power BI as their enterprise solution (Candidate can have Tableau experience but both Power BI and Tableau is preferred. 
Must have recent experience doing this work 
Financial/banking background is preferred but not required
 Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Finance, or Business
3+ years of relevant data analysis experience, SQL relational database query
3+ years of data analysis Banking/Financial Services ($10B+ in assets) experience preferred

Must have strong data interpretation, visualization and presentation skills 
Must have strong experience with SQL 
Must be experienced in data analysis, decision support and use of analytical and BI software
Experience with relational data models and working with large data sets
Must be experienced with tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services preferred
Candidate must have Financial and analytical skills 
Excellent oral and written communication skills with respect to both technical and non-technical audiences across various levels in the organization
Must be a strong critical thinker and problem-solver
Experience delivering results within a matrix organization 
Must be detail-oriented and comfortable working independently
Must have excellent relationship management skills – experience managing relationships across a variety of internal cross functional departments, lines of business, and externally with vendors and clients
Outstanding time management skills
Strong hands-on understanding of agile methodologies and techniques
