JOB DETAIL
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Confirm officer database tables used to sync with CLIENT’s Convention Management System
Confirm/validate the fields in the officer data file (tab delimited), defined by CLIENT’s development team are the ones required to update/replicate the officer data to CLIENT’s Convention Management System database
Develop SQL scripts/packages/procedures to load data in the officer data file into the target tables in the Enterprise database
The scripts must be able to process a file that contains the officer data for multiple affiliates in the same file
Implement error handling in the scripts, for example, if the file contains a bad record for one or more affiliates, log an error(s) in a log file and the script continues to process the other good records
Enable the scripts to run autonomously at scheduled times
Enable the scripts to be executed on demand if required for a specific affiliate(s), local(s), state(s), and/or member ID
Enable the scripts/packages to retrieve the officer data file from a secure FTP server, validate the data and then proceed to load the data from the file into the Enterprise database
Comprehensive documentation of all steps to set up, configure, execute, troubleshoot and maintain DB scripts
Conduct knowledge transfer to CLIENT’s DBA’s
Experience required
5+ years experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration - Design, Development, testing, implementation, maintenance, backup, recovery, replication Proven experience in SQL Server Database Design, Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, stored procedures, and functions.
