Requirements and skills
- VB.NET; ASP.NET; JavaScript; custom controls; XML; .Net Framework; Visual Studio
- Oracle DDL and DML; SQL Server DDL and DML; stored procedures and functions; Oracle packages; database design
- Strong communications skills, ability to work directly with business users
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of DB2 is a plus
Responsibilities
- Modernizing two in-house small applications 1) web application used for Recycling materials needs to be converted from DB2 to Oracle 2) mainframe batch application used by the Control Center needs to be converted to a web application.
- Additionally, support is needed to integrate a small web based Revenue Protection with a new enterprise Customer Billing system, this legacy integration is part of a large initiative for the Company. The technical documents are for this system are currently being developed.
- Lastly, a project for gas mobile dispatch may require some modifications and/or integration with the new Customer Billing system.
