1. Collaborates with design and development teams (back-end developers, testers, business analysts, UX designers, researchers, and creatives).

2. Develops HTML, CSS, and Javascript for ecommerce website and other digital properties.

3. Translates business requirements, wireframes, and comps into reputable, testable acceptance criteria that serve as a charter for fault-tolerant, cross-browser compatible, and accessible front end code.

4. Delivers front end code on time and to spec with a balance of what’s good, what’s best, what’s now, and what’s next.

5. Advocates for the best user experience as a member of a customer-obsessed team of front end technologists working to build a library of extensible, reusable UI code.

6. Creates interfaces for new and enhanced functionality on the  ecommerce platform.

7. Works with the marketing team to implement marketing materials that require interface code (marketing landing pages, micro-sites, emails, animations).

8. Maintains awareness of development trends/technologies and participates in the cross pollination and elevation of the Front End Team skillset.

9. Proactively makes recommendations for tools/processes/technologies that will benefit the team.

10. Establishes relationships and collaborates with 3rd party vendors with an eye on integration and future functionality.

Qualifications

1. Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript required.

2. 5 plus years experience developing interfaces with an in-house, corporate, agency or similar interactive/digital design/development team with a portfolio of delivered projects required.

3. Experience in transitioning code monoliths to decoupled, tested, and modular front end component architectures required.

4. Advanced study and applied experience in modern front end tooling and practices including CSS preprocessors, Javascript package managers, and Test-Driven Development preferred.

5. Expert in developing responsive websites and testing responsibility on multiple browsers preferred.

6. Advanced knowledge of accessibility standards and WCAG compliance required.

7. Fluent in a variety of JavaScript libraries and frameworks (“vanilla javascript,” Vue, React, Ember, Angular, etc.) with a tireless ambition to adapt and learn required.

8. Experience with version control systems (SVN, Git, etc.) required.

9. Experience developing for transactional and marketing platforms (eCommerce, financial, insurance, etc.) preferred.

10. Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects from concept through final production required
