JOB DETAIL

Role      :  Oracle Policy Administration System (OPAS) Developer

Location :  West Des Moines, Iowa

Duration :  C2H or Full Time

 

Consultant should be willing to work from customer location from Day 1 .

Consultant should has strong experience with OPAS Development (OPAS V10) or latest version (OIPA)

 

Technical/Functional Skills:

Required

1. Experience working with XML, JavaScript.

2. Advanced Oracle SQL skills, ability to write advanced Oracle SQL, debug and performance tune.

3. Experience with ETL tools Informatica / Python.

4. Experience with scheduling tool (like Control –M) is a plus

5. Ability to manage all technical pieces of a project from database releases to file movements to code

6. Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with multiple ongoing projects concurrently

 

Experience Required:

1. Experience with Oracle Policy Administration System (OIPA/OPAS) desired. OPAS Developer (OPAS V10) or latest version (OIPA)
2. At Least 3 years of knowledge in Insurance Industry (Annuities).
3. Experience in the financial services industry desired. 
4. ITIL certification is a plus.
5. Must have the ability to interpret detailed project specifications to develop program logic and code.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Assists formulation and definition the system scope and objectives for developing or modifying information software applications. 
2. Designs, codes, tests, debug, documents, and implements changes to new and existing software applications (Mainly in OPAS). 
3. Ensures that the appropriate people are informed of software development activities and progress made relative to applications development milestones.
4. Performs quality applications testing to assure the delivery of a product that meets the user’s specifications.
planning and cost justifications that impact new or existing software applications.
5. Provides guidance and leadership to less experienced team members in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing changes to new or existing applications. 
6. Follows and adheres to company defined IT standards and procedures.
7. Creates and maintains an effective working relationship between users and the Information Technology department.
