•  Determinesdatabase requirements by analyzing business operations, applications, andprogramming; receiving business objectives; and evaluating current systems.
•         Obtainsdata model requirements, develops, and implements data models for new projects,and maintains existing data models and data architectures.
•         Developsdata structures for data warehouses and data marts projects and initiatives;and supports data analytics and business intelligence systems.
•         Buildsconceptual, logical, and physical dimensional data models following the RalphKimball approach to data warehouse development.
•         Workswith Business and System Analytics to investigate source system.
•         Communicatesphysical database designs and dba and explains features that may affect thephysical data model.
•         Followsprocesses for capturing and maintaining metadata from all data warehousingcomponents.
•         Implementscorresponding database changes to support new and modified applications, andensures new designs conform to data standards and guidelines; are consistent,appropriate for their intended use, and perform as required; and secure fromunauthorized access or update.
•         Conformsto guidelines on creating data models and various standards relating togoverned data. Reviews measures to chart progress related to the completenessand quality of metadata for enterprise information; to support reduction ofdata redundancy and fragmentation and elimination of unnecessary movement ofdata; and to improve data quality.
•         Identifiesappropriate data sourcing and extraction process and identifies and nominatessources as systems of record for data usage in various applications.
•         Performsroot cause analyses related to information issues and non-conformance topublished data standards based on review of technical metadata of varioussource systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 5 years’experience:

• Dimensional modeling and design following the Kimball methodology of data warehouse development.
• Full life cycle development, architecture, and implementation, of an enterprise data warehouse
• Data engineering for business intelligence and business analytics
• Enterprise information management processes and methodologies, relational database management systems
• End-to-end design and architecture of enterprise-level data warehouse solutions
• Design and development of operational data stores
• ETL and ETL development
• ROLAP and MOLAP development
