Description
The Senior SQL Server Database Administrator will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database. The individual will also be involved in the planning and development of the database, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field, plus 7 years of work experience beyond degree
- 8+ years of experience in MS SQL Server
- 5+ years of experience in administering SQL 2012 and newer
- 4+ years of experience in administering production SQL databases that support web facing applications
- 2+ years of experience with SharePoint
- 2+ years of experience in SSIS /SSRS development and administration
- 5+ years database and server performance monitoring and tuning
- 4+ years of experience with SQL monitoring tools, spotlight preferred
- 3+ years advanced knowledge of windows clustering and SQL Always on
- 3+ years database backup and recovery using both SQL server and third party tools such as Netbackup, Rubrik, Cohesity
- 1 year Powershell scripting a plus
Nice to have but not required:
- Mysql, oracle, PostgreSQL, Informix experience
- Knowledge of database connectivity. IE: SQLnet, jdbc, odbc
- Familiarity with tools such as TIBCO, OBI, Informatica, Globalscape, Dynatrace
