Position::           Postgres DBA

Location             Till Covid-19 REMOTE, Austin, TX

End Client - State of Texas Agency

We are seeking a Postgres DBA for a one year assignment + with possible extensions at our Austin, Texas based client. Make sure you are only sending "Postgres DBA's".

Responsibilities:

•           Install, configure, and administer Postgres Servers using Linux operating system.

•           Demonstrate hands on experience with RDBMS concepts, tuning, configuration, sizing, clustering, deployment, and problem resolution.

•           Work closely with the technical Architects; contribute to solution design from an Infrastructure and Deployment perspective.

•           Define, develop, and enforce database scripts deployment standards and procedures.

•           Support the development team as needed in the migration of software release and the deployment/integration parts of the solution.

This position may be worked remotely during the COVID-19 lockdown, after which it must be worked on-site in Austin, Texas.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• 5+ years of DBA experience in using combination of the following:

• Install, configure, and administer Postgres Servers using Linux operating system.

• Must have hands on experience with RDBMS concepts, tuning, configuration, sizing, clustering, deployment, and problem resolution.

• Define, develop, and enforce database scripts deployment standards and procedures.

• Experience in migration of software release and the deployment/integration parts of the solution.
