General Description of Duties (What will associate do?):
This position will include:
Incident Resolution
- Support, troubleshoot and diagnose production issues including breaks in applications, databases, servers, performance, and data anomalies.
- Perform root cause analysis; document issue resolution and participate in creating a knowledge base of known issue solution paths
Database Administration – Responsible for SQL Server Databases
- Manage, modify, and administer databases, including tuning and performance monitoring
- Provide SQL Server support/troubleshooting and maintenance
- Create SQL Server procedures and optimize existing SQL code
- Install, patch, test, and maintain database software
Server/Application Administration – Responsible for Windows platforms and applications
- Monitor systems, jobs and applications, including performance and capacity
- Manage hardware, storage, and backups and develop optimal hardware and software configurations
- Install, configure and troubleshoot issues with Windows OS and IIS web servers
- Writing of administrative Power Shell scripts for maintenance and automation
Deployments
- Deploy code to non-Production regions
Technical Skills Required (please note required proficiency level):
- Minimum 5+ years experience testing and troubleshooting custom or vendor applications
- Minimum 5+ years of comprehensive experience as a SQL Server DBA using SQL Server 2008 R2 through SQL Server 2017
- Minimum 5+ years strong expertise in IIS and Windows OS 2008R2 and up
- Excellent expertise in SQL Programming, SSIS
- Experience with at least one migration or large-scale implementation
- Experience with BizTalk, SharePoint, and Team Foundation Server (TFS) a plus
