Seeking SQL Server DB Architect. Candidate should be able to handle DBA work as well the Architect/Designing work. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Data Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. Essential Job Duties DB Architect Consultant having experience with Microsoft SQL Database Administration and Architect/Design work areas. The candidate needs to maintain best practices and collaborates with the architecture and application teams to set the technical vision and target architecture

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Norwood-MA or be willing to relocate to the area.

,• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education

• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience

• At least 5+ years of experience in SQL server administration, architect and design area

• Should have worked in SQL Server Advanced Features like Replication and Always on

• Perform backups and restores

• Setup High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server

• Implement operational automation using scripts.

• Work on indexes, index management, and statistics.

• Work on SQL Server tools

• Work on issues related to performance tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools

• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

• Must be able to work in 24x7 production support environment

• Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours.
