Role: PHP Developer
Location: Remote
The ideal candidate would have over 10+ years of experience and possess a combination of programming skills:
- PHP
- Basic web development principles:
- HTML
- CSS
- JS
- Experience with website and ecommerce applications, specifically:
- Drupal
- Magento
- One or more front end frameworks
- React
- NextJS
- Experience supporting an API that other teams routinely integrate with
- Experience with deployment pipeline applications, specifically:
- Jenkins
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Updating the backend PHP code
- Responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionality within drupal and Magento
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure an effective, functional and intuitive implementation
- Work with colleagues around the world
- 2x weekly sync ups with the team in India
- Daily sync up with the Web dev/cart team here
- Be available here for any Magento outages and run the troubleshooting
- Take over all Magento requests such as:
- New coupons
- New SKU’s
- Be the resident “expert” that understands how WE use Magento
- Schedule releases for Magento deployments with OPS
Technical qualifications:
- Light PHP dev (really just being able to understand and walk through PHP code and Magento functions)
- SQL, specifically:
- Be able to quickly get information from the Magento DB (write select statements)
- Understand the relationships between tables
