Job Responsibilities: 

• Analyze and interpret data in existing databases to support projects and resolve data issues 
• Map source system data, to data warehouse models (both staging and presentation layer facts/dimensions). 
• Identify and assess potential data sources. Perform gap and impact analysis. 
• Interview business users to gather requirements for reports, extracts, data, metadata, data quality and service levels. 
• Perform specifications reviews with the business, developers and QA analysts. 
• Take ownership and drive all assigned tasks to completion according to project plan. 
• Develop a deep and comprehensive understanding of our Annuity and Life business, systems and customers. 
• Create well-written, clear, concise and above all accurate document artifacts including functional specifications, gap analysis documents, mapping documents and process diagrams for the purposes of data warehouse construction, report development etc. 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: 

• At least 8 years of experience in IT as a Business Data Analyst. 
• Having healthcare data experience is plus. 
• Preferably, experience in data warehouse environment. 
• Ability to understand how our data relates to our source systems, its relevance to our upstream and downstream applications, and our business. 
• Solid understanding of SQL, stored procedures and ad-hoc query development. Comprehensive understanding of relational databases. 
• Ability to write requirements to extract data from existing databases, document transformation rules based on business requirements gathered from non-technical people. 
• Ability to provide functional and data requirement documents Work together with Data Architects. Experience using Power BI, Business Objects and/or other reporting tools. 
• Must be a team player, able to work with people within and outside of the organization. 
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written as well as exemplary organizational skills Previous experience leading or managing teams.
