Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent required
Proficiency in Java, Maven, Spring/Spring boot, Angular 5, CSS, JavaScript, and Junit
Competent in Java JDK 8, EJB, JQuery, Spring (REST with JSON)
Ensuring a clear dependency chain, in regard to the app logic as well as the file system
Ability to provide SEO solutions for single page apps
Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performant visual effects and keeping the framerate above 30fps at all times
Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
Validating user actions on the client side and providing responsive feedback
Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed
Creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of core Angular
Deep understanding of object oriented principles and design patterns
Follow defined agile methodology and standards
Working knowledge of JAX-RS & JAX-WS implementation
Working knowledge of tools like Eclipse, NodeJS or IntelliJ
UI development with emphasis on HTML/CSS.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
Strong software engineering background required.
Insurance background required; experience in implementing Commercial Lines platform/systems integration with Duck Creek, Insurity or similar policy admin systems is preferred.
Experience designing and developing REST APIs using microservices architecture.
Solid problem solving and decision-making skills, good listener and open to different points of view.
Experience working in Agile development framework, KANBAN, SCRUM etc.
Working knowledge of test-driven development, automated unit testing and continuous integration.
